Creating a key on Anthropic is much easier than OpenAI. Let's get started!

Opening an account with Anthropic...

If you already use Claude.ai for chatting, then you have an Anthropic account but it does not translate to the Anthropic Console. And no, sorry, if you pay for Claude Chat Pro, it does not mean you can use that subscription in Raptor Write.

You will need to open an account with Anthropic Console.

Go to http://console.anthropic.com.

You can choose to setup an account using Google login or you can give them your email address and use that to setup your account. Do either. It's up to you. Both work.

In your account setup, you'll be asked to set up an Organization. Do this and be sure to give them your legal name and address.

Once you have your account set up, you'll want to go to the Dashboard at https://console.anthropic.com/dashboard.

Your dashboard will look something like this, though it may be in Light Mode (I set Dark Mode at some point and I'm not sure how to turn it off for this demonstration. My apologies!)

Click on Settings in the top nav.

Your page will look something like this with all of your personal information filled in.

Go to Billing in the left nav.

On this page, there are some things you should be aware of.

• Remaining Balance. You need to make sure that money is loaded into your account in order for your keys to work.
• Charged to. Your credit card goes here. Click on Add Funds to top up your account and add money.
• Auto Reload. Turn this on if you don't want your account to run out of money while you're prompting. As you can see here, I have mine set to top back up to $20 when I get below $5. This way, I never have to worry about running out of moolah on my account.
