Overview of the Content Window
When you access Raptor Write, you’ll notice a content window that serves as your main workspace. This window features a toolbar at the top, providing essential functions to enhance your writing experience.
Title and Focus Mode Button
The < > button is a Focus Mode option and collapses the sidebar to give you more room to write.
The Title of your document is editable and to the right of the Focus Mode button.
Formatting Buttons
Let’s look at the left side of the tool bar first.
From left to right:
- Cut (Scissors) - This is the same as most cut/copy/paste functions on a keyboard. Highlight text and then click this to delete the text.
- Copy (Double Document) - Highlight text and click this to copy it to your computers clipboard.
- Paste (Clipboard) - Paste what’s in memory in your computer’s clipboard.
- Bold, Italicize, Underline, Strikethrough, and Quote - These will all format the text in your editing window. When you export to Markdown format, these formattings will be preserved.

From left to right:
- Clear All (Eraser) - This will clear everything from your window. Use with Caution! You can also hit Command-Z (Control-Z) to undo.
